It was a good run, but the Freeman Flyers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Bon Homme 52-48. Freeman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Freeman lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rylee Peters, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Peters is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlin Jacobsen, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Freeman's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Bon Homme, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Freeman will head out on the road to challenge the Gorillas at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Gregory is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Bon Homme, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Menno is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
