After flying high against the O'Brien RVT Condors on Wednesday, the Abbott RVT Wolverines came back down to earth. Abbott RVT took a hard 69-54 fall against Brookfield on Thursday. Abbott RVT lost against Brookfield in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 64-55 score last time.
It was another big night for Shane Weber, who scored 50 points along with nine rebounds and four steals for Brookfield. That makes it four consecutive games in which Weber has scored at least 25% of Brookfield's points. Ryan Horton was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists.
Abbott RVT has fallen quite a ways from their 15-6 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Brookfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Abbott RVT will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Classical Magnet at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Brookfield and East Hampton will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. One thing working in East Hampton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
