After a string of three wins, the New Life Christian Academy Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They suffered a tough 75-54 loss at the hands of Faith Christian. New Life Christian Academy lost against Faith Christian in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 86-60 score last time.
Despite the loss, New Life Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jamir Loftin scored 23 points along with five assists and four steals. The game was Loftin's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Clayton Hedgepeth, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
New Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Faith Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
New Life Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeast Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Faith Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Arendell Parrott Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
