Stamford is 9-0 against Darien since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Stamford Black Knights will head out on the road to take on the Darien Blue Wave at 7:00 p.m. Darien took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stamford, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Stamford strolled past Bridgeport Central with points to spare, taking the game 56-37.
Meanwhile, Darien came up short against Wilton on Friday and fell 51-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Darien in their matchups with Wilton: they've now lost three in a row.
Stamford's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. As for Darien, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Stamford came out on top in a nail-biter against Darien in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 48-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stamford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
