The Norborne Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Braymer on the road and fell 86-18. While losing is never fun, Norborne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 584th, while Braymer is ranked 281st).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Norborne struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Jordan Haley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Braymer, scoring 24 points along with seven assists and four steals. The match was Haley's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Brandon, who scored 14 points along with nine steals.
Norborne's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Braymer, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Orrick the next time they take the court. Norborne will head out to face Orrick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Braymer will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
