The John Marshall Justices had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 84-47 win over Hopewell on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as John Marshall also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
John Marshall can attribute much of their success to Damon Thompson Jr, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Argabright, who scored 15 points.
John Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hopewell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Marshall will face off against Myers Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Myers Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Hopewell, they will head out on the road to face off against Prince George at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
