The Todd County Central Rebels will take on the Jo Byrns Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Todd County Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Todd County Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Murray on Saturday. The Rebels blew past the Tigers 13-4. Considering the Rebels have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison Woodall made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Todd County Central let Abigail Choate and Naomi Welborn run wild. Choate went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Welborn went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Choate a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Hightower, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Todd County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Jo Byrns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston County.
Todd County Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Jo Byrns, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.
Todd County Central's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Rebels have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Jo Byrns, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Todd County Central continue to outrun the ball?
