Killingly has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Windham Whippets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Killingly beat Griswold 64-52. 64 seems to be a good number for Killingly as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Windham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waterford.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Anthony Green, who scored 26 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tahj Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Killingly is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Windham, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Killingly ended up a good deal behind Windham in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, losing 56-39. Thankfully for Killingly, Travis Mangual jr. (who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
