Malakoff has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Brock Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Malakoff has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 746 points over their last 14 games.
Malakoff had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Winnsboro 58-20 at home. Fans of Malakoff have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Malakoff found their leader in underclassman Jerrion Hall, who rushed for 179 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Hall was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards. Mike Jones also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Brock waltzed into Friday's game with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They took down Paradise 21-7.
Brody Woods continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Woods has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Malakoff has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record. As for Brock, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Malakoff came up short against Brock when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 21-10. Can Malakoff avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
