Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Adrianna Drake and Shiloh Kimpson Lead Little Elm to Victory

Little Elm posted their closest win since January 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coppell Cowboys, sneaking past 56-53. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lobos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Cowboys are ranked 99th).

Little Elm was led to victory by Shiloh Kimpson and Adrianna Drake. Kimpson went 9 for 21 en route to 22 points in addition to six assists and five steals, while Drake went 5 of 7 on her way to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Kimpson a new career-high in assists. Raniyah Hunt was another key player, putting up eight points.

Little Elm's win bumped their record up to 7-21. As for Coppell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Little Elm will take on Hebron at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Little Elm is facing Hebron at the right time seeing as Hebron is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Coppell has already played their next match (against Lewisville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
