Even though the Westminster Wolves scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Northglenn Norsemen still came out on top. Northglenn managed a 61-55 victory over Westminster. This was payback for Northglenn, who suffered a 59-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Northglenn's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevor Dean, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dean has scored at least 25% of Northglenn's points. Another player making a difference was Noah Scrivani, who scored 13 points.
Northglenn's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Westminster, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Northglenn will square off against Thornton at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Thornton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday. As for Westminster, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bear Creek at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Bear Creek is ranked 99th, while Westminster is ranked 118th).
