Kaylee Grigsby made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jillian Garduno, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Kayla Oliveros was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Lake Placid kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Lake Placid's record now sits at 7-8. As for Clewiston, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
