Destrehan came tearing into Saturday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Terrebonne Tigers as they made off with a 10-2 win. Considering the Fighting Wildcats have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Destrehan's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Terrebonne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Destrehan is set to challenge their familiar foe Hahnville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Fighting Wildcats 3.2, the Tigers 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Terrebonne will take on rival Bourgeois at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
