Serra Catholic and Neighborhood Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Serra Catholic had to settle for second. They came up short against Neighborhood Academy, falling 69-46. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mark Johnson, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 14 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Sapida, who posted six points and seven boards.

Serra Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Neighborhood Academy, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.

Looking ahead, Serra Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th. Serra Catholic will be up against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Neighborhood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
