St. Peter's also got a great performance from Joe Bello as he didn't allow a single earned run over eight innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marco Aruta, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Salvatore Fragiglio was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.
St. Peter's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fordham Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
