This season hasn't been kind to the Walther Christian Academy Broncos, who are still winless after their eighth game. They fell just short of Yeshiva by a score of 67-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Walther Christian Academy lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Kris Hills. Despite the final result, he scored 35 points. Hills scored a full 53.8% of Walther Christian Academy's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Hayes, who scored 11 points.
Walther Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Yeshiva, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Walther Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Southland College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yeshiva will be home for the holidays to greet Northtown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
