Newman Central Catholic is a perfect 3-0 against Mercer County since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Comets will challenge the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Newman Central Catholic has three straight victories, Mercer County has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Newman Central Catholic came out on top against Hall on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Comets took their match against the Red Devils 6-1.
