If the Centennial Eagles were feeling good off their 84-58 takedown of the Port St. Lucie Jaguars last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Centennial took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Treasure Coast on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Centennial has scored all season.
Centennial lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Louis Llinas, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Felix, who scored ten points.
Tyson Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Treasure Coast, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 21 rebounds. Wilson hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Tyler Shelton was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Treasure Coast, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Treasure Coast, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Melbourne at 7:00 p.m.
