Despite the loss, Central Valley still got an impressive performance from Hunter Sanderson, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Sanderson hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Vanpal, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Lassen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Conner Finks, who scored ten points along with five assists. Julian Guintu was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Central Valley has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-25 record this season. As for Lassen, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.
Central Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Yreka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Valley is coming into the game with 21 straight losses at home, meaning Yreka will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Lassen, they will head out on the road to challenge West Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season.
