Osborne is 2-8 against North Cobb since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Osborne Cardinals will be staying on the road to face off against the North Cobb Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Saturday, Osborne was the victim of a tough 65-41 loss at the hands of Riverwood. Osborne was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Despite the defeat, Osborne got a solid performance out of Nia Morgan, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, North Cobb's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Cherokee 64-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Cobb has scored all season.
Osborne bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for North Cobb, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Osborne was dealt a bruising 73-19 loss at the hands of North Cobb in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Osborne was down 51-13.
