Brush has gone a perfect 10-0 against Liberty Common recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brush is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Strasburg on Wednesday. The Beetdiggers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Ben Mettlen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Brush's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Mettlen was also big at the plate, getting three hits from his three at bats. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
