The Dallas Mountaineers will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Lewisburg Green Dragons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Dallas took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 57-29 victory over Williamsport. Given Dallas' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Williamsport is ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lewisburg really took it to Neumann Regional Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-33 victory at home. 66 seems to be a good number for Lewisburg as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Dallas now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lewisburg, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Dallas skirted past Lewisburg 61-59 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will Dallas repeat their success, or does Lewisburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
