For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lakeland and Moscow meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Hawks fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-2. The Hawks have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Landon Puzio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Lakeland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dre Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Moscow, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

While Lakeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
