Churubusco is 9-1 against Prairie Heights since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m.
Churubusco made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Heritage, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost four in a row.

Bransen Hart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Churubusco is 3-1 when Hart posts three or more hits, but 2-12 otherwise. Brody Lawrence was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prairie Heights). They blew past Elkhart Christian Academy 16-4 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.
Braydon Duke was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 matchups.
In other batting news, Prairie Heights got a massive performance out of Joel Graber, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Graber a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Abbott, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Prairie Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Prairie Heights' record now sits at 5-12. As for Churubusco, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Churubusco has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Prairie Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Churubusco took their victory against Prairie Heights in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
