Mt. Vernon had to start their season on the road  on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They received a  blow  as they fell  43-24 to the Noblesville Millers. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Millers: they've now lost four in a row.
  Mason Meyer rushed for 33 yards.  
 Gavin Joy was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.  On the ground, 
 Joliba Brogan II rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns.
 Noblesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Max Miller, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Noah Shinkle, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will square off against Franklin Community at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Noblesville, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  face off against  Homestead  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
