Philo was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 17-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.
Meanwhile, John Glenn came up short against Tri-Valley on Thursday, falling 3-0.
John Glenn was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Tri-Valley work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-19.
Philo's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for John Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
