The Reed Raiders will challenge the McQueen Lancers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Reed is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.
Reed is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Douglas, who was ranked sixth at the time (Reed was ranked second). The Raiders were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tigers on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Kehaulani Tambaoan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Tiare Kanae was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Krystyn Noble was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Reed was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, McQueen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Las Plumas on Monday.
The team relied heavily on Montana Huitt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Richards, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Reed pushed their record up to 17-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for McQueen, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Reed hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like McQueen struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Reed's way against McQueen in their previous matchup back in February, as Reed made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
