The Heide Trask Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Purnell Swett Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Heide Trask is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Heide Trask will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against North Brunswick on Wednesday. The Titans blew past the Scorpions 12-0. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 11 runs or more this season.
Dava Bullard was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Makayla Smith and Taylor Sparkman did most of the damage at the plate: Smith went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Sparkman went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Smith has posted since back in March of 2025. Jalyn Reece-Murray was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Heide Trask hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Purnell Swett was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of Hoke County by a score of 4-2. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Purnell Swett's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Heide Trask, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Heide Trask skirted past Purnell Swett 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
