The Valley Christian Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

If Gilbert Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Valley Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Travis Christy. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Knights on Thursday thanks in part to Christy, who had 16 digs and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times he's played.
Valley Christian took Gilbert Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 19-25, 23-25, 15-9.
Gilbert Classical Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Benjamin Franklin proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Spartans 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.
While Benjamin Franklin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.
Valley Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Benjamin Franklin, their record now sits at 13-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Valley Christian has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Benjamin Franklin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
