Alyssa Casey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Casey was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wilnette Torres, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI. Megan Schulte also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Alex Bernstein was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with five stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Marshall Daniel was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Cape Henry Collegiate is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
