Block is 0-6 against Delhi since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Block Bears will head out on the road to take on the Delhi Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Block's win against Sicily Island wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came away the winners. Block sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Sicily Island on Tuesday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Block has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Delhi waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They claimed a resounding 70-33 victory over Delta Charter on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Delhi has posted against Delta Charter since January 17, 2020.
Delhi got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Dural out in front who scored 15 points along with three steals. Dural is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ge'ryl Barnes, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Block has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Delhi, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
Block lost to Delhi on the road by a decisive 55-39 margin in their previous meeting on January 9th. Can Block avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
