Given Oak Park Christian's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 284th in Alabama, while Full Life Christian Academy is ranked 805th in Mississippi), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Full Life Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Myles James, who scored 18 points. James scored a full 35.3% of Full Life Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hackney, who scored 11 points.
Oak Park Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Full Life Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Park Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grace Baptist Academy on January 23rd.
