After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Potlatch, Genesee was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendra Meyer was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Rylie Baysinger was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Makayla Herman was another key player, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Genesee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.
