The Homestead Broncos waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past TERRA Environmental with points to spare, taking the game 36-21. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Homestead has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Homestead to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayda Fisher, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitylyn Gibson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Homestead's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.33 points. As for TERRA Environmental, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will take on South Dade at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Dade will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Homestead is ranked 110th). As for TERRA Environmental, they will be playing at home against South Miami at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
