The Klein Collins Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Klein Collins is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Last Friday, Klein Collins was able to grind out a solid win over Waller, taking the game 52-43. Given Klein Collins' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Waller is ranked 943rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Klein Collins' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Almoni Malone, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Fisher, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tomball Memorial pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 75-58 to Klein Forest.
Klein Collins' victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Tomball Memorial, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8.
Klein Collins came up short against Tomball Memorial when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 69-61. Can Klein Collins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
