Hodgdon is a perfect 10-0 against Washburn since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks will square off against the Beavers at 4:00 p.m.
Fort Fairfield hit Hodgdon with a six-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks came up short against the Tigers, falling 14-3. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hodgdon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finn Gardiner, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Gardiner is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Washburn was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Ashland. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Washburn let Miles Tate and Tommy King run wild. Tate went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while King got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Tate also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Dumont, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.
The win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Hodgdon, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hodgdon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Washburn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hodgdon skirted past Washburn 12-10 in their previous matchup last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
