The Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers were the 64-52 winner over the Delaware County Christian Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Marple Newtown fell 53-40 to Delaware County Christian on Wednesday. Marple Newtown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Delaware County Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Beau Lyren, who scored 14 points. Caleb Jameson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Marple Newtown's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Delaware County Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Marple Newtown will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ridley at 7:00 p.m. Ridley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Delaware County Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Collegium Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
