The Rich Rebels waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They were the clear victor by a 73-51 margin over Kemmerer. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rich also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Rich's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drake Weston led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five assists and three steals. Weston is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Muirbrook, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Rich has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Kemmerer, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Rich will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Miners at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Tintic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday. As for Kemmerer, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cokeville will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
