Basketball Recap: Faithful Chambers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Langtree Charter Academy over Highland Tech

Langtree Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Tech Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-27 back in December of 2024.

Langtree Charter Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faithful Chambers, who posted 13 points along with eight boards and three steals. That's the most steals Chambers has posted since back in November of 2023. Myonna Butler was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Langtree Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Highland Tech, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

Langtree Charter Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-47 victory against Pine Lake Prep on the 14th. As for Highland Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-35 loss against Shelby on the 9th.
