Sage Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Patten, who scored 24 points. Patten also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Elijah Stephens was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.
Sage Creek pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Escondido, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Sage Creek will challenge Canyon Crest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Escondido, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Scripps Ranch at 7:00 p.m. Scripps Ranch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Escondido in California (Scripps Ranch is ranked 244th, while Escondido is ranked 864th).
