There's no place like home for Garden City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Annapolis with a sharp 10-0 win on Wednesday. Considering Garden City has won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Leymon Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dallas Collins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Garden City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Annapolis only posted an OBP of .200.

Garden City is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Annapolis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Garden City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Annapolis, they will venture away from home to challenge Riverview at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last six games the Pirates have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
