After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lindbergh, the Windsor Owls were happy to have found some success on Friday. They skirted past Affton 40-37. Given Windsor's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Affton is ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Affton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Wilson, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Anna M daughtry was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Affton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor's road trip will continue as they head out to face Seckman at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Affton, they will face off against Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
