If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Hackensack. On Friday they take on Bergen Tech at 7:00 PM. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Hackensack and five for Bergen Tech.
Hackensack came into their this week averaging 37.75 points per game, but Hackensack fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a 7-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hudson Catholic. Hackensack's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Jordan Wimberly, who rushed for 29 yards and 1 touchdown.
Last Thursday, Bergen Tech were close but not close enough as they fell 27-30 to East Side.
Hackensack were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Bergen Tech 42-0. Will Hackensack repeat their success, or does Bergen Tech have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
