Volleyball Recap: Oviedo Has No Trouble Against Seminole

While Oviedo didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Seminole Seminoles on Tuesday as Oviedo made off with a 3-0 victory. The matchup marked the Lions' most dominant win of the season so far.

One reason for the win was Oviedo's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Ryker Noteboom paced Oviedo's offense, picking up 13 kills. Noteboom got some help from Preston Parkhill and his 30 assists. Sergio Antonetti controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oviedo's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-2. As for Seminole, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Oviedo has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Lake Howell on the 13th. As for Seminole, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Warner Christian Academy on the 13th.
