West Forsyth is 2-8 against East Forsyth since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday.  West Forsyth is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They blew past R.J. Reynolds, posting  a  56-20 victory. Given the Titans' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings  (they are ranked 11th, while the Demons are ranked 111th), the result  on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
 It was another big night for  Riley Horton, who threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
 Another reason for the win was West Forsyth's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department,  Kale Vest was the leader with two. West Forsyth got some further help from  Keith Taylor: he picked up  a  sack, made six total tackles (3.0 for loss),  and defended a pass.
 West Forsyth was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 267  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 184  rushing yards in five consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile, East Forsyth really took it to Glenn for the full four quarters, racking up  a  49-6 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by 35  points or more this season.
 East Forsyth's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Bryce Baker, who threw for 224 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and   Cannen Rottweiler, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. Those 95  rushing yards gave  Rottweiler a new career-high.  Joziah Nicholson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 West Forsyth's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. As for East Forsyth, their record is now 9-0.
 Friday's  contest will pit two  of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Horton and  Baker. Horton has put up some stellar numbers this year, and currently owns excellent season averages 132.4 passing yards and has 13 passing touchdowns on the season. For his part,  Baker has averaged 265.8 passing yards and has 28 passing touchdowns on the season.
 West Forsyth came up short against East Forsyth when the teams last played  back in October of 2023, falling  45-35. Can West Forsyth avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
