The Conneaut Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Madison Blue Streaks at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Conneaut unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-41 walloping at the hands of Geneva. While losing is never fun, Conneaut can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Eagles are ranked 149th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alexis Kiser, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Isabella Fix, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Madison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson Area.
Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Madison, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.
