Leigha Race was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
