The Ryle Raiders waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Scott 53-37. Given Ryle's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Eagles are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinn Eubank led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Eubank has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Baker, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Ryle's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. As for Scott, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.
Ryle will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scott, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.
