The Troy Trojans lost against the Tippecanoe Red Devils back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Troy took a hard 51-34 fall against Tippecanoe. While losing is never fun, Troy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while Tippecanoe is ranked 205th).
Despite the loss, Troy still got an impressive performance from Kiyah Baker, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Simone Adekoya was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Troy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Tippecanoe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Troy will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Greenville at 11:45 a.m. Greenville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Tippecanoe, they will head out on the road to take on Xenia at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
