Rensselaer Central is 8-2 against North Judson-San Pierre since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Rensselaer Central's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Tri-Township with a sharp 19-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bombers.

The team relied heavily on Brooke Koebcke, who fired off three triples, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Stacia Crabtree was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBI.

Rensselaer Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, North Judson-San Pierre didn't have quite enough to beat Pioneer on Friday and fell 4-3. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Rensselaer Central was able to grind out a solid victory over North Judson-San Pierre in their previous meeting last Thursday, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
